Irrational Pie

DESCRIPTION

 The purpose of this application is to ease the memorization of the decimal expansion of the constant PI, in a context of entertainment and experimentation. 

 This is a beautified version of a rather austere tool that I developed at the end of last fall for my own use. 

ORIGIN

 It all began when for some reason I could not explain I ran into the game of memorizing the digits of PI (I didn't even know that something like Pi-Day existed).

 Coming from the old school of 'pen and paper' memorization, my 'system' consisted of filling pages and more pages of an old notebook with a multitude of lines of seemingly meaningless figures. It was working, but progress was slow and painstaking. I needed a more agile process, and for that matter, I also wanted to spare some trees reducing the carbon footprint impact of my sudden and unjustifiable new hobby (let's face it: "3.141592" that's more than you'll ever need to complete your entire engineering degree). 

  I take it very easy, and I'm hammering 200 digits now. To my surprise this tool has been a great help to improve my results in much less time than expected and has significantly reduced that eerie, weird <<Jack Torrance>> feeling (remember the typewriter scene in  Kubrick's "The Shining"?).

DISCLAIMER

 Please, bear in mind that this is a "beta" version, still in active development, that will almost certainly contain unpredictable errors of all kinds.

HTML5 VERSION

I was in doubt if I should publish a version for web or not, because since January 2024 Godot4's HTML5 apps have been showing trouble to load on Firefox and Opera. In fact, they didn't load at all.

I've been checking and I have been able to load it on Firefox and Chromium browsers (both desktop), working like a charm, but, It didn't want to load on Firefox for mobile devices. 

The solution is yet a work in progress.
